Hair System Extension Experience

I’ve already written a blog post (click here) on all details concerning Hair System Extensions (or tape in extensions). However, I am so impressed with them, I decided I should do a follow up post on my maintenance experience. As I mentioned In my previous post (here), the tape in extensions last about 2-3 months before needing to have them reapplied.

Once I went in for my maintenance appointment, I had no idea how the process worked. For instance, I didn’t know if the glue would even stick on again, or if the extensions would have lost their luster, or if my hair was damaged from the extensions! I had so many questions in my mind.. However, I was surprised to learn, indeed the same extensions are re-applied, the salon specialist will treat them and re-apply the glue so that they are brand new. Additionally, the salon specialist removes the extensions with a special solution that includes alcohol and with a meticulous technique so that your hair does not damage in the process. Furthermore, in the time your hair system extensions are on your hair, will notice very little to no hair fall. No, this is not because your hair is somehow working miracles and not falling off! Everyone sheds hair, its normal and healthy. However, you will not see any to very little hair fall because the hair falling will stay stuck to the glue. Therefore, do not be alarmed if you notice an alarming amount of hair fall when your tape in’s are removed since this is all the build up of hair that didn’t fall off during the two months your extensions were on.

Lastly, once the whole process was finished, about 1 1/2 hours, my Hair System Extensions looked like new again.   3. It looks like it’s a part of your hair. I wouldn’t do this personally, since I already have more than enough hair to deal with on my own, but it looks cool!

  4. You can’t even make out that you are using extensions. I have long hair so I have never had to think of extension but those really look EXCEPTIONALLY real! You look great! =)

  5. I love THE idea of hair extension being able to have long hair with a matter of minutes or hours depending the route you go. UNFORTUNATELY for me seen having children I’ve had to stop getting them, the cost and upkeep was just getting harder and harder to work with.
