Ethically & Environmentally Friendly Jewelry

 

If you’re anything like me whose style is always changing, for instance, one day I’ll feel like dressing like an elegant princess Diana, others I am feeling sultrier, or other times I feel like dressing like a California cool Boho Chic… For those days when I am feeling like totally Boho Chic I like to wear The Boho Collection by Spence this collection represents the Boho Chic queen in all of us. The Boho Collection by Spence is especially created for those of us who are bound by creativity, see no obstacles, fears no challenge, and thrives on adventure, yet is morally grounded (doesn’t this sound like all of us women?).

Nevertheless, what I love most about this collection is that it features Artisan Created Diamonds what this means is, 1% of each purchase goes to the NGO (Not for Sale to alleviate human trafficking). Spence’s Artisan Created Diamonds are, environmentally sustainable and each symbol in the collection represents a value/trait. Although 1% may not seem like a lot, however, as someone who works with children who have been victims of human trafficking and exploitations this is truly amazing. How many brands do you know of that are making these kinds of strides? Not very many. Additionally, Spence diamonds is making strides in trying alleviate and heal the human damage cause by Mineral Exploitation conflicts in central Africa by building schools and housing for those people affect most by this crisis.

Further, the collections consist of 9 symbols that represents and stands for a personal value/trait. For instance, my bracalet contained the symbol of the “leaf” (purity personified) which is a constant reminder of the importance of respecting one’s self and others. My necklace had the “lotus flower” representing the future and all the opportunities it can bring.
